Songwriter, singer, producer, musician has written soul masterpieces such as “The Dark End Of The Street”, “Do Right Woman, Do Right Man”, “I’m Your Puppet”, “Cry Like A Baby”. There are hundreds of hit songs recorded by the sacred monsters of soul and written by this white-skinned author. Born in Vernon, Alabama, he was the architect of many successes born in the Muscle Shoals studios. His are the jewels found in the albums of Aretha Franklin, Percy Sledge, Irma Thomas, Box Tops, Solomon Burke, written in collaboration with Spooner Oldham, Donnie Fritts, Carson Withsett. His European debut took place in July 1994 in Porretta. Before leaving he wrote “Peace In Porretta”.
